Recently, ReSkills added another glorious accolade to its name as it was proclaimed as one of the Top 5 Winners at the prestigious Seadragon 2022 pitching competition this year.
ReSkills was announced as a winner during the final stage of the competition, which took place on Sep 15 in Penang as part of the World Congress on Innovation & Technology (WCIT) 2022, organized by PIKOM (National Tech Association of Malaysia). WCIT 2022 took place from Sep 13-16, and was attended by more than 4,000 delegates from over 60 countries.
“It’s a wrap for this program! We made it once again! This award is dedicated to all ReSkills stakeholders, partners, coaches and learners & our awesome team who worked tremendously hard behind the scenes!,” said ReSkills CEO Jin Tan.
“Thank you to the team that made all this happen, even in my absence. We are a highly motivated homegrown startup that just wants to succeed in the global scene. ReSkills aims to be a global destination for online learning because we believe in connecting people through knowledge.”
ReSkills beat about 100 other companies to be shortlisted in the Top 20 of this pitching competition, who would then be narrowed down into the top 5 after pitching at the WCIT 2022 in Penang. Training sessions were conducted by PIKOM to select and prepare these Malaysian high-growth startups for a chance to pitch their businesses at the event.
ReSkills and the other four announced winners will now have regional and global investors catalysing their businesses’ expansion.
ReSkills Chief Marketing Officer Ken Lim, who accepted the award at the ceremony, said he was thrilled at this result.
