Global Online Learning Platform ReSkills EdTech Appoints Pau Ling as Chief Technology Officer

Global online learning platform ReSkills EdTech has appointed Pau Ling as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Earlier this year, she decided to return to her home country, Malaysia, for good after spending a decade in the United States pursuing her studies and developing her career in the fast-paced tech scene.

Pau Ling, who joined ReSkills EdTech in May this year, will be responsible for overseeing the development of the ReSkills platform and ensuring its operations align with the company’s mission of empowering people. She will lead a streamlined team of tech professionals at ReSkills’ main headquarters, with the overall objective of optimizing ReSkills’ various programs and applications and ensuring consistent levels of optimal functionality.

Pau Ling will also oversee the development and enhancement of new products and services for the company, continuously seeking innovative solutions and new AI technology to enhance the ReSkills platform. “ReSkills as a team has a dream to touch millions of lives around the world. That means my technical team and I need to manage the scalability of our applications and provide continuous support to our millions of stakeholders as we expand globally,” Pau Ling said.

Pau Ling is a graduate with a major in computer science and art from Connecticut College, USA. She is a dedicated and team-oriented professional with impressive academic qualifications, having been an Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology scholar and a recipient of the President Claire Gaudiani Award for Excellence.

In her youth, she lived in Germany as part of an exchange program through the American Field Service, recalling that she left Malaysia knowing only a few sentences of German. “That experience truly impacted my life. I had to learn how to be open-minded and embrace a completely new culture. The experience was challenging, but it helped me grow. It taught me that I could still learn a new language even at this stage of my life,” said Pau Ling, whose German is still functional if slightly rusty today.

Working in the challenging American landscape revealed the importance of always thinking on one’s feet and manifesting out-of-the-box ideas. What ultimately attracted her to ReSkills, she said, was its focus on enhancing both technical and soft skills and its mission to promote accessible education worldwide. Looking forward to bringing back her experience & expertise to drive Malaysia company forward.

Pau Ling believes her liberal arts background gives her an edge in observing the intersection of technology with other industries, such as education. She considers her overseas experiences invaluable in helping her navigate global markets, understand diverse cultures, and effectively build international relationships—three skills that align closely with ReSkills EdTech’s international expansion initiatives.

She looks forward to cooperating with other teams and departments to ensure the provision of seamless and intuitive user experiences for ReSkills across its vast platform.
